URGENT APPEAL
“The worst part of my life was when my husband became alcoholic and abusive. Everything changed between us. One day, he took a ‘panga’ African sword and tried to kill me. While defending myself with my hand, one of my hands got cut off. I experienced an unbearable pain and shock. The police came and put my husband in jail. Not long after, he became sick and died. I was taken to the hospital and was told by the doctor there was no hope to get my hand back.”
