Humanity Response CIC was created after seeing women and families facing financial hardship, including women raising children alone, women affected by abuse, disability, homelessness and poverty. We saw something important. People often need immediate support but they also need opportunities that can help them move forward. A food parcel can help someone today. But skills, confidence, training and access to income can help change tomorrow.

That’s where Humanity Response comes in.

Our purpose

We help women facing financial hardship develop practical skills, explore enterprise opportunities and work towards greater financial independence. Through training, enterprise support and micro-grants, we help women turn skills and ideas into opportunities that can generate income. We also support children because a family’s future is connected. Our children’s programmes provide practical support such as breakfast provision, homework support and school essentials, helping children learn, participate and feel more confident about their future.

Our approach

We believe in opportunity, not dependency.

Our aim is not simply to provide short-term assistance. Where possible, we want to help people develop the skills, confidence and resources they need to create their own path forward. That might mean learning a new skill. Starting a small business. Accessing a micro-grant. Joining a training programme. Getting support with education. Or simply having someone believe in their potential.
