Entrepreneurial Training and Grant
Delivering training on entrepreneurial skills and providing small investment grants, enabling struggling individuals to manage finances and generate income and improve livelihood
I am Heena, the Director of Humanity Response. The birth of Humanity Response started off with my personal experience of witnessing dreams clash with harsh realities, a community of women and young people grappling with hardship. Among them were single mothers thriving to provide for their children, widows trying to navigate life alone, young people on the streets who had nowhere to go, and survivors of domestic abuse seeking a path to safety. Despite their resilience, they faced daunting challenges.
Witnessing their struggle, Humanity Response felt a deep call of action. It became clear that while many charities offered immediate relief, what was truly needed was a pathway to long-term independence and stability. Thus, the idea of Humanity Response was born – a community interest company dedicated to empowering women and young boys and girls who were facing homelessness, domestic abuse, or financial difficulties.
Humanity Response was founded in 2022, officially registered in 2024 with a vision of creating a sustainable impact by using two main tools to minimise poverty and suffering, (i) water and sanitation and (ii) economic security.
We aim to create access to clean water and proper sanitation, especially among women and girls to reduce the spread of diseases, promote good hygiene practices, and drive socio-economic development. In addition, we provide grants and entrepreneurial training to women, enabling them to gain the skills to start a small business and build a future free from financial dependence. The goal was not just to offer financial aid, but to ignite hope and foster self-sufficiency.

Humanity Response was formed to respond to poverty through microcredit so that fewer people, particularly women would gain help to become independent and improve their quality of life. Our mission is to alleviate poverty by providing essential training, grants, and microcredit to underserved communities. We aim to empower individuals especially vulnerable youth and women, with the resources needed to start or expand small businesses. Through this support, we foster economic independence, improve living standards, and stimulate sustainable development, ultimately working towards a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
